CREDITON NEW BUILD

This high specification new build house was on a sea of mud when I arrived and the clients were stumped. As keen gardeners, they wanted a garden they could enjoy developing, relax in with family and friends, grow a few vegetables - and have no lawn to mow!
The garden surrounds the house on sloping site in every direction - the front was a simple circular design which the overlooking neighbours could also enjoy; to the side a raised sleeper vegetable bed could be ornamentally planted once veg growing days had passed.
To the rear a split level patio for relaxing in sun or shade stretches across the rear of the house with staggered steps to a sunken sitting area at the bottom of the slope. A simple cascade water feature flows from a raised bed while planting creates a secluded shaded grove of small ornamental trees and shrubs to give year round interest.
